I'm really shy with strangers and people I don't like, but I'm really outgoing and silly with my friends :D Anybody else like this?

Yes: I love meeting new people and having a good time, and if you catch me at the right moment I am very social. On the other hand, I'll sometimes get uncomfortable, and would rather be by myself.

I'm some sort of combination of shy and out-going that is hard to explain - you'd have to hang out with me to understand.

I am very shy...
But I am outgoing and silly with people I know very well.
I rarely speak to anyone.

yes, i appear shy,
but sometimes if i can't relate to the
person i may appear aloof and rude,
my facial expression would be "angry"
like i'm pissed over something,
i think it's just a defense mechanism
i do to keep them off...

right here... sort of. it's really weird, i find it easy to approach a stranger about something, or strike up a conversation with them if it goes well, but once i start seeing them a bit i feel shy and kind of awkward until i get to know them a lot more. i feel awkward around a lot of the people i know in engineering but i was fine the last time i met new people and i'm fine with my close friends.

I am always a bit shy when I am meeting new people for the first time, but when I get to know them really well then it generally comes natually if they are understanding of me.

I am cynical and aloof about people half the time.
The other half, I confide in a few fellows, but nothing too deeply.

I would say so that I'm shy but not too sure about outgoing.
I find speaking to new people challenging and if its a group I won't get to know them.

I go out, but only when need be as there nothing outside worth being outside for.
I'd say I'm shy or very low voiced and to myself when I'm speaking to a shop keeper or somebody who grabs the door for me.

I think its really to do with responding to appreciation.

YES I AM!
absolutely! *high fives*
Seriously, this is an exact depiction of me. When I'm with my friends, I'm super comfortable and outgoing (specifically outside of school.) However, when I'm in school or around people I don't know, I am extremely shy.
