Is anyone like me with 0 Friends?
Count me in on the zero front. There's one or two people I sometimes speak to, but that's it. It's kind of a love it, hate it kind of thing for me. Sometimes it's really nice not having any friends because I enjoy solitude at times and it doesn't cramp my life out. Can get lonely at times, though.
I have no real friends except the couple I basically grew up w/and we all grew apart in a few ways. We might still hang out a few times, but I want to do somethings w/my life, and that will take much more time and experience. So I try not to worry too much about having friends, just building trust w/people and working on how I express myself toward people.

Right now in real life 0 that I see on a regular basis, discounting long distance communication.
It didn't always used to be this way.
About 10 years ago, I had lots of acquaintances I enjoyed chatting to.
I used to have low key parties too.
I also used to see relatives more.
I used to have friends "on tap" that were either conveniently around or that relatives introduced to me.
I'd just hang around and muck around talking as and when and no-one really minded.
I didn't actively socially network, I drifted around, helped a few people out one to one and nearly everyone was fine with that.
Everyone I used to know is doing their own things, so that's probably part of it.
I'm stuck now really.
Lots of people I've seen seem to be just clones of each other and I've had some really bad reactions from people.
I notice things started to become worse when I was exposed to more impersonal and crowded environments when I had to cooperate and fit in. I hated that.
I just wanted to be an individual but everyone else was acting too arkward, silly and the same.

So very true.

I have some friends now but growing up I had no friends for the most part. But making new friends is really difficult.
same thing, almost, I only talk to my parents. dont talk to my siblings, other relatives. I used to talk to some relatives until I basically burnt my bridges with them during a really rough time during my life, they discovered the real me thats quite ugly: not gonna lie.
I also have 0. In adulthood, I have some difficulty knowing the point at which someone stops being an acquaintance and starts being a friend.
I would say that about 20% of the time, I feel lonely and think it would be nice to have someone to go to places and see things with. For the other 80%, I'm actually quite pleased I have no friends. Despite the drawbacks, it is very freeing to have no demands on your time and emotions and be able to live the way you wish without worrying what your 'friends' will think and if they're going to reject you for it.
Yupidoodle, I'm a lone wolf and I always spend my free time alone even though other people do like me in my small social spurts. I just can't seem to seal the deal in making friendships. For me, there's a piece of the puzzle missing. Acquaintances? I got plenty but actual friends? Not so much....
You all over think the friend thing. We are autistic. aut-auto=self. That doesnt mean we should turn down people who want to be our friends, or not try to get friends. but in the end you only get a couple of real friends in life, and having friends shouldnt be all that important if they dont accept you.
If the whole world doesnt accept you because you are ugly, creepy, fat, weird. F them. dont be their friend and be a loner. its not going to kill you. Albert Einstein was autistic and he was a Jew. and he got threats from people for being jewish and he was strange so people didnt like him. Oh well, he stayed to himself. although he married some girl then afterwards he married his cousin. but anyways he was pretty much a loner.
be a loner who cares about ignorant people. stop letting NTs get in your head.
You didnt ask to be autistic just as much as they didnt ask to be NT. F them and be a loner and be happy. f friends, theyre no good anyways

Wow interesting perspective. For some reason your post reminded me of something I saw. I was walking through the mall with my older sister and saw a calendar with a guy in football pain cherring I said that's sad/stupid my older sister said why. I said well IMO when you go to college you are there to get a degree and become a doctor, lawyer, psychologist etc. not root for a football team or party/drink/etc. she said most people don't think like you and it just takes them longer. I said oh and overall to this am shocked by her response. (She's the one that found the AS disorder and trys to help me with the way I think and view the world)

Well lucky you! I dont have that kinda support my parents dont believe I have ANY disorders or disabilities and just chauke it up to me being a lazy, fat, POS wonderful support isnt it! Then again it could all be just disbelief atleast thats how I wana see it. I guess because of that perception I always felt ppl in general found it easy to hate me sometimes I felt they had no real reason to do so other times it got so bad id just snap (thnx to my Bi Polar Disorder) and attempt to cause as much physical suffering on the person that caused an equal amount of psychological suffering on me but that was back in grade/high school and thnkfully I am no longer like that but I guess each bad thing from a start point branches off into other bad points atleast thats how I see it!

Yes and it never bothered me. I never felt any satistifaction from being with other people. As a kid, if I could not boss others around or make them do what I wanted them to, I would not play. I often had said I wanted friends, but really want I wanted were pawns or brownnosers. As an adult I find human beings as much of a pest in a way that most people veiw cockroaches. I like cockroaches more than I like people.
