I was recently sick (last three and a half weeks). It was a non-COVID viral respirator thing. LOTS of coughing. The point is when I was awake and watching "my stories" I was generally eating something and drinking water, tea, or BAI Zambia Bing Cherry Water. I can understand the fluids, but I was surprised by the need to eat. I did not gain any weight either, even though I was being very slothful.
I hope you get better sooner than later.

Yeah I do feel a lot better thank you for asking
I've still got a couple of weeks where I should rest but I'm off the painkillers now at least
I think it could have been those that were causing the hunger

I don't usually like pain relief but I had no choice this time round
