Yeah there's an issue with overcrowding at the moment and not enough council houses

I've got a family of 6 on one side of me and a family of 5 on the other side and we're in 2 bedroom flats

Lucky for me they're quite respectful

I don't think I would mind family noises if it was next door or below, but from above it seems to be more annoying, probably because you can hear everything they do, even just walking across the room or the kids dropping their toys on the (hardwood) floor. So it's earplugs or headphones constantly for me. Otherwise, most noises don't really bother me. I just can't stand the sound of people moving about in the room above. Makes me see red for some reason. I think it's more a case of misophonia for me.

I don't need to be funny here. I just need to be myself.

My mum used to point to things and I knew exactly what she meant. It was like we had a secret language. Or she'd say one or two-worded sentences. For example, one time I'd got a new coat and when I took it off I threw it over the side of the armchair. Then a bit later on that same day my mum came in from being out and sighed, "your coat, the cat." I knew that "your coat" meant "why isn't your coat hanging up instead of just thrown over the armchair?" but I didn't understand what she meant about the cat, until I saw our cat was curled up asleep on it, camouflaged. The way she said "the cat" meant "the cat is on your new coat so now it probably has hairs all over it".

When I tried this language on other people they never seemed to know what I meant, even my partner doesn't. So it must have just been a thing between me and my mum. I miss my mum.

Why do some people cocoon themselves in their duvet? My duvet is always spread out with me in it, albeit untidily if it's hot.

World War III started. I knew it would start sooner or later. Soon we'll all be 6 feet under and I'll be in Heaven where I can truly be myself.

I wonder if I will be given a male body when I get to Heaven. I'd trade my German helmet for a male body.
