Hmm a couple of suggestions... (Love 'Keeping up Appearances' too, apparently its really popular in poland)

'Spaced' with simon pegg, though it may be an aquired taste
'One foot in the grave' - grumpy old man syndrome
'Black Books' - very funny

Happy watching!

^^ Do you perhap wish for newer or older programs may I ask? I am very sorry as I view very few new British programs. ^^ I believe Outnumbered is very magical. For older series, I enjoy:

Blackadder II, III and IV
Monty Python's Flying Circus
'Allo 'Allo
The Two Ronnies

Besides the obvous British comedies, I also enjoy Doctor Who and Blake's 7. But I'm an Aussie, not a Brit.

Coming of Age is a good short series. For adults mind, not safe for kids. Only has about 6 episodes. The acting is pretty good I think.
The Young Ones good classic comedy
Bottom Loads of violence. The actors went on to Guest House Paradiso
Two Pints of Lager And A Packet of Crisps

Well, since the Aussies came up, we gotta say 'Farscape'...though it bears more than a passing resemblance to 'Blakes' 7...;)

Fawlty towers wasn't too bad...;)

Well, "The Hitch Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy" and "Red Dwarf" are British, of course. Personally I also enjoyed "Are You Being Served?", "The Goodies", "Alas, Smith and Jones", "Spitting Image", "A Bit of Fry and Laurie" and "Changing Rooms".

Hitch hiker's guide is probably the best bit of British work ever but I also like watching British tennis players, they always look like they are going to win, then about to lose and then win again, although not technically in the group I still believe they fit.

My favourite British show is "Harry Hill's TV Burp." It never fails to make me laugh. Currently it won't air again until around October, but there are plenty of "TV Burp" videos on YouTube.

There is some good stuff from British television past & present. I got myself the 2nd season of Life On Mars on DVD and I've watched 6 episodes in 3 days, great stuff :)
