Well, I may as well keep this trend up hey. Martin Scorsese is a genius who has missed out on a Best Director's oscar one too many times. I have always felt his Robert DeNiro films are his better ones and I hope they collaborate again soon. Raging Bull, which he had thought at the time was going to be his final directorial effort, is amazing and should have won him the little statue (Ordinary People? What crud...). However, my favourite Scorsese film is Goodfellas. This is a fantastic film that I can watch over and over and find something new to love about it.

So what is your favourite Scorsese film?

My top 10:

1. Goodfellas (1990)
2. Taxi Driver (1976)
3. Raging Bull (1980)
4. Casino (1995)
5. Cape Fear (1991)
6. Gangs of New York (2002)
7. The Last Temptation of Christ (1988)
8. The Color of Money (1986)
9. The King of Comedy (1983)
10. The Aviator (2004)

Other films include:

Mean Streets (1973)
Bringing Out the Dead (1999)
Boxcar Bertha (1972)
After Hours (1985)
The Age of Innocence (1993)
Kundun (1997)
The Last Waltz (1978)
New York, New York (1977)

On that list, it would have to be Raging Bull...

But "The Aviator" is my personal favorite out of all the Scorsese films I have seen (It shoulda won the oscar Damnit!!)

Goodfellas, Gangs of New York, and Taxi Driver are all great movies too though

My personal vote goes to Taxi Driver, but The Last Temptation of Christ is also always on my top 10. I also loved Goodfellas, Gangs of New York, Bringing Out the Dead, and Raging Bull. It's a crime that Marty's never won an oscar.

Using a .44 on a cat is kind of overkill, don't you think?

Lol.

Well I am surely ashamed, I never knew Scorsese was the genius behind all those great films. Taxi Driver is the best film ever, and I also liked Cape Fear. I really want to see Gangs of New York.
