"Snake... Smok(Polish word for Dragon)... wait, it isn't even an animal, and I used Polish word, lets stick to just English to make it fair, kay?... Salamander... Sarna(Polish word for Deer)... gosh... I said! No Polish words! Umm... S... Su.... Sa... I can't come up with anything more, not even Polish names... What's was the time limit? 1 minute? I guess thats it then. 2 words in English, 1 in Polish, 1 Polish fictional animal. Are there even so many animals staring with S?"

I asked my NT mom to do the same. She come up with 6 words, 7 if you include Smok(Dragon). LOL

I didn't read all 14 pages.

This isn't an executive functioning test. It's a verbal fluency test. Or, a variation of a popular one.

When I started my minute, I thought - yes, I know lots of Animals. Ready, Set Go!.
Snake, ss.....
Snake, Sna...
Snake, Shark!
Snake, Shark Sh.... sa....
ummm... (bear...no. Dog.. no. um.... Snake, Shark, ... damn ).

I could not do it. My mind was blank. At that moment in time, there were no other words in the universe which started with S - especially animals. I was thinking that it was a hard question as there really can't be many animals which start with S. Only Snake, shark and maybe a third animal.

I always find with word games, such as Scrabble, where you have letters to arrange into a word. I struggle to do words any larger than 3 letters.

Salamander, shellfish, snail, Siberian tiger, Siberian husky, siamang, and seal right as the timer went off. I left out some of these on my official, voted count as they don't really count. Got stuck searching my mind for a rodent with an S name. Was looking for shrew; just occurred to me. Then got stuck looking for birds in my head: seagull jumps out now but that doesn't compare to sand piper. I know there are many more, like a spoonbill for example.

I got 9-11 and probably would have thought of more if I hadn't been trying to keep track of time at the same time. But animals are one of my special interests. I do have executive dysfunction, but lately it's only been a problem in completely alien environments (such as the first few weeks of college and more recently my new job with the football team). Usually phone alarms and charts are enough to keep me on track.

Got nine. But not sure that all of them would count.

Thought of "seal" , and then "sea lion", which are fine. But then went from sea lion to "sea anemone", "sea horse",and "sea cow" and then tried to purposely avoid anything with "sea" in front of it to stay fair. Thought of dog breeds like "saluki" , and "shar pei", but dog breeds are all the same species (so maybe shouldnt count as separate kinds of animals). Then thought of "sable", and "snail". Then the buzzer went off.

Am embarrassed that I didnt think of more obvious ones like squirrel, snake, and spider. Lol!
