Now that Yahoo! Geocities has me in a rush to find another web hosting service, I need to find a good one, one that looks nice in the URL bar and will help me get lots of visits.

Any recommendations?

Why are they closing down? When?

I have some old junk on there that I've been meaning to delete.
Will this save me the trouble? When will it be gone?

I was thinking about putting some new stuff up. I guess not.

Webs.com it is free and it make a site look like a professional did it. I switch over to it when I read the geocities was shutting down.

Tahitiii, go delete it. Likely their property will become the property of someone else, and you'll lose control of your data.

What the fuzzy dude said. It's a "pay what you use" hosting, and very reliable.

Free: googlepages

you can also buy a domain and have it redirected to a free hosting service.
