Nope, I'm 29 and still don't have my drivers licence at all....even driving an automatic car is very stressful for me. I have tried to learn how to drive before, but I simply don't "get it".....not only that but I can't listen and drive at the same time which has made learning to drive rather difficult....I even had a driving instructor who practically threw me out of the car whilst yelling "I don't want to die, I have a young family to live for"

I figure it's just safer for everyone if I don't drive.

A "stick" is short for a car with a manual transmission (a.k.a. stick shift).

I didn't get my license until i was 27. I learnt on a manual ( stick/gear changing) car. Have driven automatic cars 1 -2 times. Changing gears is an art in precision and rhythm. Adds interest to the wow of a machine moving people from A-B.

No. I think it was the teacher though. It was a guy who used be a big trigger for anxiety for me so I could never focus properly and he had an odd way of explaining things. It didn't go well at all. I think if I was with someone who made me feel relaxed, I could learn.

I'm too young yet, I can't get a licence legally until I'm 17.
I was wondering what OP ment by stick then, I was imagining someone riding on a big hovering twig, or someone using a stick as a steering wheel  I have never heard the word stick to describe a car before.
