I've never had much of a sense of smell, i have to bring things really close to my nose to get a hint of anything. I do however have a very sensitive sense of taste, and will taste things much like others smell things. I've got into the habit of saying "I smell ...." Because it avoids having to explain rather boringly that i have no sense of smell, and it also avoids the few idiots who think you are somehow lying to be "different", sigh.

I have had anosmia for a few years now. Between the paresthesia I have after sleeping, anosmia, and my new-found hyposensitivity to pain I'm a little worried I might actually be suffering from a neurological disorder (other than aspergers :P).

I have a very good sense of smell, I'd go mad if I didn't, and I hate when cold/hayfever/whatever causes my nose to block up
