I just saw it today, yeah, I agree the film was pretty amazing, and really enjoyed it, but I think overall the best was the goblet of fire, and yet my favorite is the prisoner of azkabam (I think)

I started reading Harry Potter 1. What a fantastic book. I can see why so many love it. I'm at the scene in the book where Hagrid says "Harry -- you're a wizard." :)

My favorite part in the book so far is when Harry keeps receiving envelopes addressed to wherever he's living!

Mr. H. Potter
The Cupboard under the Stairs
4 Privet Drive
Little Whinging
Surrey

Mr. H. Potter
The Smallest Bedroom
4 Privet Drive

Mr. H. Potter
Room 17
Railview Hotel
Cokeworth

Mr. H. Potter
The Floor
Hut-on-the-Rock
The Sea

LOL :)

I think this Harry Potter was the weakest of all the films. I don't know why really. Maybe because it left out so much from the book. And there were certain characters that seemed to only appear a few minutes and didn't really contribute much to the plot. I confess I hadn't read the whole book yet, but I know there was more in there they could have included.

My favorite is Prisoner of Azkaban, followed by Order of the Phoenix, followed by Goblet of Fire. And then the rest.

I'm not sure whether I'll see it or not. I'm not a Harry Potter film but I like some of the films, and this one looks quite good. :)

First, the images are hands-down beautiful.
The man who did the cinematography is a genius.

It's great Steve Kloves returned to write the script.

Ron was the most amusing of all the characters.

Some images had the feel of a Michael Mann movie
with its dark and muted colors, especially in scenes with Draco Malfoy.

Lavender was too much of a cute-stalker-girl type.
The girl who got cast will most likely have this line
thrown at her for a while, "Where's my Ron-Ron?"

I just finished watching it for the second time. I think this was a really, really good movie overall. We all knew it was going to be hacked to death because the book was so long, but what they did work with they did really well. Another slight nitpick to add in to all of the others here; I think they should have simply mentioned Aragogs death/funeral and instead shown Dumbledores.. I mean who is more important?? I agree this is the best since GoF. If only they had been less greedy last summer and shown it on it's original set date (I still haven't let go of that 'Batman' movie-slot-stealing anger. lol)

While I have read all 7 HP books it's been some time and as such I couldn't compare book to film very accurately. That being said, I didn't mind this film. The various romances taking plot precedence annoyed me, however. I'm pleased to see Draco's character seeming less vampiric this time around. For the last few movies I kept expecting him to grab Hermione's cat and start snacking.
