I don't think anyone "outgrows" balance problems, but learns to have better balance from practice.

what if it took you until age 12 to learn how to ride a bike and you were wobbly on it for years. (not able to skate either, etc.) then, in adulthood, you find you have no problems at all. is that really strange?

My mom says I outgrew dyspraxia. My balance is very good. It's hard to improve your balance if you don't know what therapy to do to help improve it. Walking on the treadmill helps your balance and moon shoes. My balance improved through occupational therapy.

I had very good balance for as long as I could remember. I actually had an interest in refining it as a kid.

Now, it sucks! Over the last year I've been finding myself randomly losing my balance. I haven't hurt myself yet, though! I think this is because I haven't been doing the physical activities I normally did on a frequent basis. I just don't have access anymore!

Practice, practice. Martial arts helps.

As a kid I was extremely clumsy, though in the past few years (post growth spurts, I suppose) I've come to be almost...graceful. If I throw something in the air, it's entirely possible I can actually catch it, as opposed to looking funny at someone trying to play catch with me.

I stretched (hour a day, minimum) out all my balance problems.

Oh, that's kind of extreme indeed. I used to have balance problems like that, too, but I still have them mildly.

I'm kind of the opposite. I had good balance as a child but these days...
I can't even walk down stairs without holding onto something.
