I prefer glasses to contacts for the same reason. And having worn glasses for 46 years now, I sort of feel naked without them.

I tried contact lenses once and hated them. Just remembering the sensation makes me shudder. Also a lot more work than glasses.

... I myself do not mind having to touch my own eyeballs. 8O 8O 8O Really.

And... Why I'd rather have contacts was because of the frames and glasses' weights.
It can bring me headaches even if I have it over my head instead of over my eyes.

My own set of sensory preferences and issues demands 'less weight'. And contacts weigh near nothing. :o

My Neighbor Totoro, Kiki’s Delivery Service and Spirited Away are my favorite Studio Ghibli movies.

Same in my case.

I’ve seen all three ruin lives.

Same in my case. Everyone in my family smokes and alcoholism and drug abuse runs in my family.

I’ve seen all three ruin lives.

I'm also one, and I don't take prescriptions meds.

... The former was not intentional out of sheer sensory or legal factors.
So is the latter because there's no budget for it.

Also I may not one because... I overconsume if I had any opportunity to. I don't have the real type of discipline of resisting habitual temptations.

In some form, I'm addled and addicted in a more socially acceptable and less drastic way that just happened to not involve drinking alcohol, smoking nicotine or recreational drugs.

I also avoid tobacco, alcohol, and recreational drugs because I am on three prescriptions.

I don’t understand the concept of anything being “bland.” “Improved by more/any seasoning,” sure, but everything has a significant and distinct flavor of its own to me.

I can’t recall ever having awakened feeling refreshed or anything in my entire life, I invariably feel like I need more sleep.

I have an almost complete loss of lordosis in my cervical spine. Has been that way since my early twenties.

I've spent time in a straightjacket, when I was a kid. I don't remember it. Mom told me about it when I was 35. Autism care of the 1960's.
