why is that?

maybe it's just me, but i like to be able to see who i'm talking to. i'm curious that way

We have a thread in the "Getting to Know Each Other" folder, and one in the "Members Only" folder.

if you're talking about the "pictures" that's not really what i was talking about. like say i talk to someone in another thread or area entirely, it doesn't apply there. it would mean having to go chat with people in those particular threads when my actual point of conversational interest lies in an outlying thread.

get what i mean?
or...is the thread you're referring to something that would answer my question or help explain an answer?

i'm not particularly photogenic either but i try. don't know how long it took me too get a decent pic.

whistle on down to the gettin to know each other thread and you' ll find lots of em.

..Im a female...I just kinda gained a few pounds back then....I lost em though thanks to the job I have now...Now I am slim and good looking..LOL.

when i meant recent, i meant a few months ago.

Avatars are usually a representitive of a person. A lot of people don't feel comfortable putting themselves on display with every post, i'm guessing.

you dont have to move into and stay in the other sections, just cus the pics are there.

ive never liked the idea of my stupid face as my personal avatar, i find it... an intrusive thing to do

so. i got pics in both of the pic-posts in the "members" subforum. you can go in there, click the pic posts, and then you can even click yourself out, and back to the subforums where you enjoy to post.

I don't use a picture of me as an avatar because I feel my face does not represent me properly.
I often have a lot of disconnect from my true physical appearance.
