Does anyone else here get a lot of sudden twitches that come out of nowhere? Sometimes i'll have a random thought that will cause it(for example.. riding with someone in the car, then picturing another car hitting you in your mind, then jumping from the sudden thought), but usually i think it's pretty much out of nowhere. Sometimes it's like what people call a "gravewalker," where your whole body jumps(but generally multiple times a day, not the rare cases i seem to hear most people describe with this), and sometimes it's more like a tic with my head suddenly tilting or turning in a really quick jerk-y way. I usually feel it coming on like a split second before i do it, and now and then i'll even get that feeling that it's coming on but then it won't(or it feels like something stopped it, if that makes sense). Used to get it now and then as a kid, but get them a lot more now than i used to. Usually it'll make someone ask if i got a chill, but i didn't. I don't know if it's anxiety-related or what. It doesn't really bother me though, it just feels odd.
Well I never lost tics completely and I have the occasional jerk of head and shoulder. Sometimes I can anticipate them, sometimes I can't and because they're as weak nowadays sometimes I can redirect them or hold them down till I'm somewhere alone. But mental images have nothing to do with my tics.
But even if these happen to be tics, stress and all can make them worse and you can go from few to many or next to none to a few.

I sometimes get the full body tics, as well as smaller ones [head and shoulders, one arm, leg, foot, etc], though very, very few have ever been accompanied by thoughts that would understandably cause them.
However, I'm not really worried about seeing a doctor about them. They aren't dangerous to me or others, as long as they don't happen-or are very minute-when I'm driving. I know they aren't...."normal", perse [whatever "normal" is....seeing as there is no definition...], but I don't really care.
Sometimes, it is really because I got a chill-I chill easily. But, more often than not, they are without good reason...or any reason at all.

One of the symptoms of my personal form of Asperger's is disgraphia- I can't write or draw. I just can't get my hand to do what I want it to at a fine control level.
A huge part of this is tics and twtiches that move my hand even when I haven't sent a command from my brain to do so.
It is a common physical symptom related to SPD, which many Aspies also have.
I don't think this is quite the same as yours but I do get sudden twitches that I can feel coming on. They are usually caused by some kind of sensory stimulus - usually a light touch or temperature change but can also be caused by certain noises or occasionally even the memory of one of these stimuli
But anyway I can feel the .. I don't know.. tingly feeling? Building up and I twitch. Usually my head tilts down toward one of my shoulders and the corresponding shoulder twitches up and down rapidlyand my eyes roll up and everything. It only lasts for a second or two. It's rather spastic to see, I assume. I guess it might be some form of mild sezuire ? It is not uncomfortable in any way. I consider it kind of like sneezing, it feels slightly pleasurable to release the tension after the buildup and trying to hold it back would be uncomfortable.
I get that. It makes me think I'm kind of morbid, but I just can't help it.

The earliest dreams I remember are those which lasted only 1 to 3 seconds but they always ended up with me trying to catch or brace for something but then it would hit me in the face and I would of course jerk everytime. I had these dreams a lot, like 200 to 400 of them over the age of 3 to 4 years, happening every night.
I don't know if that is the beginnings of a tic disorder or not.
Most of the thoughts that precede a complex motor or vocal tic is something that is usually bothersome, irritating or anxiety-provoking.
