is hypersensitive already, but this thing is more severe lately.

I'm keeping my room very dark with just an ion lamp so the light won't hurt my eyes.. That's not normal even by my standards.

I think it could have been a painkiller I took, but that was several days ago, and this thing hasn't subsided.

I can't take even a dull lightbulb. And it feels "disruptive", like someone yelling at me, but with light rather than sound.

Yeah, I sit in the dark all the time, with maybe one small light on for ambiance. I see just fine in dim light. My grandmother will see me looking for something and say, "turn on the light so you can see," when she doesn't realize that I see perfectly fine. She likes to keep every damned light on in the house with all blinds open during the day. I'm glad I'm getting out of here soon.

I HATE when people insist on having bright lights on.

And the thing I hate even more than that, is when they object to me wearing dark lenses or a cap pulled low over my eyes to protect them from the light, because "I can't read your facial expression properly when you're wearing those".

Yeah, apparently, not being able to see a small area around my eyes prevents them from getting vital information about me.

The light of day topic

Many seniors have vision problems and need more light. I have noticed this tendency in myself, as the years go by, though I keep the lights down to a minimum due to cost.

When I have migraines i cannot stand any kind of light, and have not been on the computer for a few days because of a recent bout with headache.

Does anyone know if you can get dark contact lenses anywhere?

I usually just wear dark glasses, but in some places people complain...

I can't stand light, the brighter the worsr, natural or otherwise. But the older I get, the more light I need to read, but that means a small spotlight on the book and everything else darker to compensate. I wear blue-tinted glasses all the time, sometimes with big wraparound darks over them. The blue really helps neutralize artificial lighting.

My vision is not getting worse but my eyes are. Even with glasses on stepping outside in the daylight can make them sore. Not really sure what's happened. I first noticed it last night when the TV was much too bright for my eyes.

Reminds me of my friend. He likes the dark lol

Does anyone know why this thing is worse lately?

My eyes are sore and watery just from looking at a white background on a computer. Dark ones are fine. That's not normal for me, my eyes are delicate, but not THAT delicate.
