I accidentally locked people out of the library computer at my grade school. I don't think it had a password, though, at least not until I set one. ;3


I'm taking some sparse courses in hacking, port scanning, injection and stuff at my university. I'm considering studying ethical hacking and offensive security later, though if I get too much into making programs, that could be a threat. Software architecture is a lot lighter on my eyes and mind than all the Linux based stuff (read: writing lines in the terminal without knowing what they mean), but I'll have to learn that anyway, so I guess it's just a temporary burden. Oh yeah, and with hacking wifi the hardware is a jungle to navigate.
Hmm. Algorithms and programming competitions might be a serious threat to my future as well. XD

I'm aware that certain old people are very unhappy with the media deciding cracking is called hacking. They should take a look at even older people complaining about all the other parts of language that changed over time and realize how old they are. Then take a look at themselves. It's sad sometimes when meaning change, but being stuck up about definitions doesn't make one any more understandable to outsiders.

The meanings haven't changed at all - two words have been swapped due to laziness. Nothing to do with word evolution whatever.

I can't hack hacking. Cracking cracks my brain. I don't even know how to turn on a Mac.

I got caught cracking/ hacking years ago. It was nothing malicious, I was just looking for information. It traumatised me so much that I felt unable to do anything with computers for a long time.

No. It was my employer.

I don't hack or crack, but I do dig persistently enough to get to things (like images that can't be downloaded normally with a right-click).

I probably would have learned to hack if I had higher intelligence and more of an interest in programming.

No such thing as a hacker. Anyone who calls themselves one is probably a idiot.

But honestly, people keep saying they are hackers but it seems like a term out of the 1980s/90s. Many of them don't even know how to connect their computer to the internet. But its like having a guy who thinks he's a great mechanic, he'll open your car's hood then mess it up.
