any comments or suggestions to improve it?
...Unfortunately I can't hide some stuff like the user details (location, etc) because the CSS is used in more places, and breaks some parts in other places... :?

Its good. DOnt stress you have done us a good service. Mind you not sure what Alex will think about having a big chunk of advertising removed? I did not like the purple so I have simply changed it

Many of us are already using Ad-Block Plus or some other such add-on for their browsers...
