My family were affectionate with me, but I tended to shrug it off.

Almost never :)

My mother is the only one I let hug me and only because it meant something to her. It was almost never done and it was solely for her benefit. I love and care about my parents, but I don't like physical contact. My family was/is not affectionate in any sense of the word and that includes me.

My father never hugged me (though he made me massage him once, which was really creepy), but my mom and I hug a lot. It wasn't as much when I was a kid though, because I wasn't into hugging as much then. I still don't like being touched by anybody other then my mom, though I'll hug a few other people who really like being hugged even though I don't.

EDIT: I asked my mom and she said that I started wanting physical contact around grade 5-6

I hate hugging anyone except for my mom, my boyfriend, and my sister. I hate that it's expected of me in some situations but I force myself through the awkward feelings (Haha, and I usually end up accidentally knocking people with my head or jaw or shoulder because I'm clumsy).

When I was a child the only thing that ever hugged me was a jellyfish that had washed up on the beach. Oy, did it sting!

Not a lot, but I'm unsure if it was because I didn't want hugs, or simply because my family isn't very touchy feely.

I enjoy hugs, though.

Only from my parents, because I disliked being hugged from other people.

I guess quite a bit as a kid. I wasn't the one to initiate it.

We weren't a particularly huggy bunch. I learned to hug as an adult, but I still find it awkward. I've learned how to offer and receive them. I like when my husband hugs me.
