Hey, guys. I would like you all to list a few things that annoy you.
First, I'll start off.

1. Schoolwork.
2. Slow computers.
3. People who smoke.
4. When I'm at work, and five customers in a row ask for either paper or paper and plastic.
5. Parents who allow their kids to run around all they want in public.
6. Strict parents.
7. Snow.
8. People who try to force me to be happy.
9. DVDs that stutter when played back on my computer.
10. When one person beats me in a game and another lectures me about being a good sport (this happened very frequently to me in elementary school and went on up to grade 10).
11. My parents, when they try to get me to branch out.
12. People who tell me how to spend my money.
13. My parents, when they tell me to turn my stereo down.
14. The fact that I want to be in at least one commercial, but can't since I do not live in New York.
15. Sitting in the audience at a show.
16. WHen I'm at work, and the cashier starts ringing up the next customer's items when the previous customer hasn't even left the aisle yet!
17. People who have better stereos than me.
18. Skipping CDs.
19. People who can act like my friend one day or week, and then all of a sudden either get my name wrong on purpose or do something else totally mean (this happened to me pretty frequently in high school).
20. Parents who expect their kids to be perfect.

Hmmm... I have my standard few:

1. smokers (especially those who smoke NEAR me)
2. reckless drivers
3. Conservatives (and on a more specific note, President Bush and MO Gov. Matt Blunt  )
4. US Bank
5. discourtesy
6. people who walk around or drive with cell phones stuck to their ears
7. greed and corruption (especially when "the bad guys" try to make money the stupid way-- i.e., an apartment owner reaping all the money he can by putting as little money into his apts. and treating his tenants like crap when he could very well make LOADS more money by treating his customers well who in turn give rave reviews about the complex and recommend it to friends and family  )

"Service with a smile always gets you more business." Why is it nobody gets this???

What about in the winter if it looks like it might snow and they have FlakeWatch:2006, where some guy stands outside in a parka and talks about whether or not a single snowflake fell, interrupting every TV show every ten minutes and you can't buy a loaf of bread or a gallon of milk anywhere because the shelves are all empty. Heaven forbid it actually snows an inch, because people in the South do not know how to drive in snow and it is like bumper cars at Six Flags all over the roads.

I'm generally very apathetic and indifferent, but a few things can annoy me sometimes:

  • Cigarette smoke (especially when I'm eating in a restaurant or somewhere else where it's being foisted upon my lungs against my will)
  • Submission (I do not like to do things because someone else is compelling me or adhering me to some obligation to do something if I have not agreed to it or do not know the reason behind the request.)
  • Racist or especially sexist bigotry (One time, when I was at Six Flags, I noticed someone sitting at a table near my stepfather and me wearing a t-shirt proclaiming Confederate pride and showing a Confederate battle flag; I talked somewhat loudly about how that flag represented slavery and racism and that that's one major thing the Confederacy fought for; it was not simply a case of heritage. Apparently, it made the person so uncomfortable that he got up and left.)
  • War and violence
  • The same old, same old (too much routine and bland duties without anything enjoyable to do)
  • Guys who have more success with women than I do (I'm almost never jealous, but this is about the only case where I have any actual jealousy about anything. I believe that, if there were fewer men relative to the number of women, the amount of competition for women would be reduced; and, thus, my probability of successfully attracting a woman would proportionately increase.)
  • My personal goals being continuously frustrated (My strongest desires revolve around women and sex.)

Most other things in life I can deal with without being phased in the slightest. Because of this, some people get the mistaken impression that I "have it all together," especially after they ask me about my plans for the future and hear my response. Unfortunately, there's much more to a happy life than academic and career success. Social and romantic success plays a role as well in personal fulfillment.

1. People who are arrogant and think they are better than anyone else
2. Dirty bathrooms and kitchens as these are areas that are actually meant to be clean.
3. People who interrupt me.
4. People who can't do their jobs properly. If you can't do it, why bother?
5. Bad manners.
6. Couples who walk slowly on a pavement and take up ALL the space so you have to walk on the sodding road to get past them.
7. People who walk behind me and are way too close, are they trying to walk up my arse or what?
8. When people meddle with my possessions and then break them in the process.
9. People who use their size to intimidate others.
10. I can't suffer fools gladly.

I could write a longer list than this but I do not want to appear to be an extremely intolerant individual because I am actually a very tolerant person. Its just some things do tend to grate on me a little.

So true.
