Fascinating stuff ! ! We truly are an eclectic bunch ...

Mine comes from Kurt Vonnegut's "Slaughterhouse Five". I was reading one of his many obits and saw this quote. I saw the movie when a teenager, and have never read all the way through the book. I looked up the poet, and he's quite interesting, one of these days I'll buy a book of his poetry.

Quote from Nirvana's MTV Unplugged performance (from which my avatar pic is also taken). The song in question was 'The Man Who Sold The World'. Which, as Kurt afterwards remarked, he didn't screw up.

It's a quote from the movie "Heathers" that I made G-rated. It's actually "Well, f*** me gently with a chainsaw". Kind of a nice summary of life right now. :P

Mine is just the SpongeBob SquarePants theme song, but with "SpongeBob SquarePants" replaced with my username instead.

Mine refers to a song by Gary Numan (a new wave musician popular in the 80's. He has Asperger's. It also refers to the Turing test in which a person would try to determine if the entity he is interacting with on a terminal is a human or a computer program which is simulating a human.

I love that album. I still have the vinyl. I wonder how many people know that Peter Gabriel was the original lead singer, or that they were a prog rock band.

My sig is actually a cleverly disguised joke. To get the punch line, go find a periodic table and look up the symbols for the elements Bismuth (83), Technetium (43), and Hydrogen (1). Then string them together as if you were creating a compound, and read the word it spells.

Hahaha, glad to see I'm not the only one who's done that. None of the ones I've found would actually make a stable compound, though. :(

My sig is as follows:

First part is basically stating how life is good

Second refers to the exact date and time I passed my driving test

The third refers to a really bad association I once had between my love life falling apart and the UK train operator First TransPennine Express (I called it "the curse of First TransPennine Express") which has since gone, the "curse" usually entailed me being on one of their trains after something really bad happened with either a current or ex girlfriend at that time, now I travel on those trains without my lovelife falling apart, they bring us together :D
