I would much sooner want a wifi card implanted into my skull so I could get internet access on the go. I mean, USB port? What would you even use that for? I use my USB ports for... um... a mouse, and external storage (flash drives and external HD). The extra storage could be handy, but internet access would be far more useful.

But with USB, you could do wifi as well as storage and wireless control.

They have USB wifi cards? In that case, the USB is looking a little better... but still, it lacks the tight integration of a built-in wireless card. Though it would be nice to be able to sync with my iPod.

Back in the day, Compaq had an internal joke video about the Compaq HeadPro...;)
We laugh now, but someday...people will say the interface is too slow to 'go meat'...;)

Yes. If you get a Wok strainer some pieces of coat hanger and some aluminum foil, you can fashion a parabolic reflector from the above materials and a USB WiFi adaptor that will greatly increase the range of the WiFi adaptor.

Firewire is toast shortly after USB 3.0 hits the scene.

Yes but whatever you do make sure that you ARE using linux, just think of all the hospital time you will get if you use a windows driver, all those viruses!! !! ! Also I would hate to get hacked by some spotty Linux geek and made to do walk down the road singing hallelujah and announcing the coming of the lord just for the amusement of bash.org
