A news story today which saddened me. Another example of political correctness gone mad, and of people abusing and twisting liberal democracy to get whoever they want into serious trouble at a whim.

A peanut allergy is deadly serious, but the parents need to educate the child because they can't inform the whole world of their child's allergy.

Yeah, that particular is the one point on which I could see their side, as a parent said in the article... peanut allergies are rather scary. But they went too far, and yeah, the kid will have to be taught to take charge of that if they're old enough to be walking to school alone.

When I was six, our school dinner lady used to give us sweets every Friday and tell us stories as well. I can remember her saying "Friday is sweetie day!" :lol:

There is one exception that I can think of aside from the nut allergy there is the possibility of a kid who is a diabetic.
