My daughter, age 9 and NT, fears global warming, the war in Iraq, and having issues with her friends.
My son, age 12 and AS, fears having too much homework He figures global issues are too far out of his control to worry about, so he doesn't. Very pragmatic, actually. He is also afraid of dogs and responds poorly to loud noises, but those fears crop up only in the specific situations in which they must be confronted. He used to be afraid of public auto-flush toilets. That lastest a few years, and he went to a lot of trouble to avoid them. Took a long time for me to figure out that one.
