In a Flemish Newspaper, but they must've had it from other sources, I believe it was found in Denmark or Sweden. They said they have analysed the brain structure of parents and family of the person with autism and came to the conclusion that somewhere certain things did not connect the same way in the autistic brain compared to the brain of siblings or parents. I don't really word it the way they did...but check it out in the news.

Perhaps this is the finding in question:

Mechanism Of Gene Linked To Autism, Schizophrenia Pinpointed
http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/20 ... 225541.htm

Note that the finding was in mice, not humans. Further, it is a preliminary though important finding, and there remains much work to do to confirm this finding as relevant to humans in general, and autism or schizophrenia in particular.

Bingo! This is an interesting finding, but it is the first word on genetic precursors to autism, not the last word. More work will be done and we shall see.
