I love Halloween!! It is the only holiday that makes any sense at all to me.

Last night my band played and we kicked off the week before Halloween...now we have to spend as much time as possible getting ready for our haunted house next weekend...

The above is a clip from our Week-Before-Halloween party.
My costume is one I call "
Being Eaten By a Tiger...because it is just a giant tiger head with arm holes that I found at the thrift store...my legs stick through the mouth... My band folk bought all our costumes yesterday afternoon....My ASish friend is the frolicking "Toxic Waste Bird" wearing an awesome vintage leopard adult onesie that I found....My friend Steve is wearing the fur-trimmed mumu...He started the cardboard box mask fad.....and he is Kaboxo-Head....and the other guy in the cardboard mask and the long golden robe is my partner Flakey...

Anyone else doing something fun for Halloween?

Going to a party, which might be fun if a certain other person shows up in the right mood.

Hiding in the back of my house with the lights off :P

I don't like Halloween, personally. I can see how some of the celebratory practices can be fun but I don't like how it's a celebration of "lets be as disgusting as possible!" I don't apreciate the gross/dead/bleeding things.

Plus people in masks freak me out

I don't know, maybe I'll dress up as my city's embattled mayor.

*Shrugs*

We'll be taking the kids trick or treating. I look forward to them sharing their goodies!

I'm going to the Halloween dance at my clubhouse. I'm going to dress up really nice in a jacket and trousers, and than I'll hold a Kinks album in one hand, and old drum sticks in the other hand. I'll probably get first prize for coming to the dance as myself.

I don't really have anything planned. If I hadn't outgrown dressing up, I would have come dressed as Colonel Sanders.

I like some of the candy for Halloween, but my favorite candy holiday is Easter, because I like the Cadbury Caramel Eggs, and the Mini Eggs.

(Thought I was going to say chocolate bunnies, eh?)

Seconded and thirded!

On that note - perhaps I do have some Halloween plans. I like to go to stores on 11/1 and buy a ton of discount candy! It's 50% off. Lucky for me 11/1 is a Sunday this year so I might actually get a chance to do it!
Sweet. 8)

I'll be busy on Halloween moving into my new apt. and unpacking... and having to disappoint my two kids as I can't afford to take them out trick or treating as I have no costumes for them... hate it when money is tight.

aw..but you could make costumes this year...likesay out of cardboard.... :P

Please note...I omit the part about how you need to staple the seam together once you turn the box inside out...

another option is the thrift stores for really great costumes...

I'm making an incredibly involved costume so I can be the Comedian from Watchmen, then I'm going to drag a bunch of my Aspie friends around to parties being thrown by people I think they'll like. It's going to be sweet.

I don't think I'll get to do anything this year. Which sucks, because Halloween gives me much joy.... and now I'm upset. I want to trick-or-treat... like I always do.
.....
And no one better say it's a kids thing, because I've heard that enough lately, and I'm tired of hearing it. I really am.

Most likely making myself looking like a zombie and drinking enough to make me feel like a zombie the next day.
