By default in LXDE there is no sound and in the settings menu there is no sound manager. Any help.

In the past I have installed the gnome desktop as well as xfce. I dont know lxde, but you could install xfce desktop and make use of its software in lxde.

just add the volume control plugin to lxpanel.

You could also raise the sound independadntly from the desktop by opening a terminal and typing "alsamixer". should open the sound mixer
