As I was getting off of work yesterday, I ran into Joey Jordison (drummer of Slipknot) in the grocery store where I work. They were probably just passing through town and he'd made a quick in n' out at Fry's.

I know many people have had their celebrity meetings, I myself have met quite a few famous musicians face to face (including Joey, previously), but still, this was the last time and place I would have expected to run into whom I did.

You?

some relative of Bernie Mac's who has a show on HBO i guess came to dinner at my house once long ago. it was totally random though 'cause i'm not sure why he was there or who knew him. i think he knew one of my parent's friends or something 'cause they came over for dinner too. prolly the case yeah.

other than that i don't think i've ever run into any "celebrities" so to speak

I once drove Chuck Woolery's old hearse he and Bubba Fowler were using to travel around singing back in the '60s. They had come to town to do a concert, and I took their hearse to the hitch shop so they could begin pulling a trailer for their Honda 305 Scramblers ...

I had a weird WTF moment the other day. Not celebrity related.

I was driving out to a job site about an hour and half outside the city. About halfway there along the highway, middle of nowhere, there was a car on the right side of the road, hazard lights going. Broken down seemed the logical thing. The guy was standing on the opposite side of the road. I figured he was just waiting for tow truck or something.

On my way back, about 2 hours later, There was a uhaul truck pulled over behind the seemingly broken down car and the guy and like 3 other people were standing outside the between the 2 autos, talking i guessed.

A few hours later I had to head back to the job site. The car was still there, and standing back on the other side of the road was the original guy, this time standing with him was a young girl who couldnt have been older than 16, who was holding up a bike. On the highway, 10 miles from anything but cornfields.

Hour and half later, on my way back, it was back to just the car where it had always been and the guy standing on the other side of the road.

It was a real big "WTF" kind of thing, what the f and why the f. why was he standing out there? for seemingly 8 hours and apparently had people visiting, including on bikes on the middle of the expressway. He was actually like 4-5 meters off the road the 4 times i passed by, he wasnt flagging people down.

My acoustic guitar got decapitated a couple months ago, and I decided to go pick up a cheap Fender Starcaster acoustic for $149 at Best Buy, one of those (lower) entry level guitars, to tie me over until I can save up for a Martin or at least another decent guitar I can find that fits my budget.
I was expecting a cheap-toned piece of s*** that is at least playable. Turns out this thing is one of the most enjoyable acoustics I've ever played, and I can't put it down. Is this some kind of mistake??!

Passing the local cinema a young teen looked at me and said "gidday". I thought I recognised him from a social group I attended last month and said it was good to see him again. He laughed and his mates laughed, pointed out they didn't know me, was a real wtf moment for me.

Wondering what the f I did with my hat from this morning at a job site. I remember taking it off and putting it on the ground, then coming back to get it. That's where my mind ends... I can't find the thing anywhere.

I saw Xena walking down the street once. She was dressed as Xena, too. (But the person she was walking with was in normal clothes.) I am certain it was the actual actress. (Unless it was an impossibly good look-alike.)
Maybe there was a fantasy convention nearby or something. XD;;

Was at work this morning, shelves were all stocked and I was finishing up organizing them. At a quarter to 5, the night shift manager walked up to me and was shouting out my name. I had my iPod blasting in my ears, so I assumed he had called out my name a fair few times. He said, "There's a fire, come on!"
I started thinking, if there was a fire in the store and we needed to evacuate, the alarms would be going off at an extremely loud volume. So I follow him outside, and he starts pointing across the street from the store. I could see some f***in' enormous flames bursting above the building I was looking at. I asked where the fire was at (to make sure it wasn't that great Mexican food restaurant), and he said that it was apparently some homes in the far side of that shopping center. That must've been a damn big blaze.

I walked back into the store and to the spot where I was working and I put my earphones back in my ears. I hadn't bothered to pause my iPod, and just yanked the things out my ears when I replied to the manager.
This is insane. My iPod had been on shuffle the whole night, and when I put the earphones back in my ears, the song that was playing was "House Burning Down" by The Jimi Hendrix Experience.

Irony at it's best!!

A lot of my family has met famous people. I have one cousin who lives in L.A California and he works in a place that has a lot of famous customers and the person he is dating is related to someone quite famous. I have an uncle who had lunch with Reba Mcentire because of work. An aunt of mine has gone to work sponsored parties where the guests include famous actors and singers. I have another aunt who in the 80s/90s went to many places to meet many famous country singers(She got me their autographs too, I've got a huge color photo book full of them, plus other pictures and pieces of paper with autographs) The oddest place I suppose would be that one of Merle Haggard's ex-wives lives in California and runs an antique shop, So I've met her, very nice person too.

Just so you guys know, this is one of those collaboration threads, not just about celebrity meetings. So if ya got something to add, it's cool.
