I knew if I brought this up to my family they'd not like the idea since fake characters are fake. My mom's friend has a friend who after a routine blood work now within a week has lung cancer, brain cancer and soon liver cancer they give her until the end of the week and she was completely fine last week healthy etc. Doctor's are baffled so my first thought jumped to Dr. HOUSE. Unlike real doctors he'd send his team to test the lab where the blood is taken, her house, her TRUE health PRIOR to last week diseases that could move rapidly etc. but 3 cancers and a death sentence in a week!! !! !! The REAL doctors are saying This doesn't look good NO DUH SHERLOCK! So IMO if only Dr. HOUSE was real he'd do those things above and perhaps save this girl or gave her a fighting chance. :-(

I see you have House fever, I'm guessing after the last episode, it was more story than case.
If reality bent to favour awesome things over boring actuality, we wouldn't need characters other people had made, even if they were as awesome as House.

Yes! I'd love to shake hands with them, at least. I can only settle for their voice actors, though. If I ever met them.

I wish Dottie and Kit were real. If they were, they be in their late 80's and early 90's and maybe be dead already or living in a retirement home and their memories might be gone by then about their past due to old age.

Yes! I have been in love with Jamie from Diana Gabaldon's Outlander series since I was about 13. He is the ideal man (and far from romance-novel perfect). I tell my husband that there are no real men like Jamie, and that he (my husband) is as close as it gets. But I might consider leaving him for Jamie if Jamie was real! (Not some guy like Jamie -- JAMIE himself.)

Yes, I do. Sometimes desperately enough to make myself feel sick. *shrug*

Most of the characters I'd want to be real wouldn't exactly be making the world a better place, though.

Elizabeth and Mary Bennet in Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice would be great to meet as would Lucy Snowe in Charlotte Bronte's Villette.

Here are some fictional characters I would like to have met for real:

Captain Quint from Jaws---as a child I really admired and idolized Robert Shaw as an actor.
David Mann from Duel---Dennis Weaver portrayed this character excellently, and I almost felt like I knew him.
Mr. Bean---well, I need not explain here. Great Rowan Atkinson character in my opinion.
The Bouquets from Keeping Up Appearances---I love this British sit-com. They almost feel like family.
Fred Sanford---I always found Redd Foxx's portrayal of this character funny.

I am sure I will think of more, but this is a good representation of who I would like to meet.

Harry Potter and pretty much any character from that series except Ginny, Draco, and ALL of the second generation characters.
I would love House to be real too, though I'm starting to wish that he didn't get clean...he's turning boring.

I used to wish that Austin Powers was real, back in 1997, when I was 23. I could have used a Swinger to hang out with, back than.

Either that a fictional character were real or that I were a fictional character. Or just me in a fictional story
