Are you asking whether or not one feels they have matured mentally (into an adult)? If that's the question then no, I haven't. I still feel like a child. I guess it's because I haven't grown as a person. My social anxiety and inabilities have made sure of that.

When I was 16, most of my friends were over 22.
When I got to be 22 myself, most of the people I was going out with were at least in their 30's.

In the meantime, my life had changed so much that I can't really say if I felt that different or not.

I can't exactly answer since I'm only going to become 16 in 2 days. But I CAN say that when I was 8/9, 16 year olds looked like giants, now it looks like we haven't aged much at all.

I feel that I'm a 16 year old in a 35 year old's body. I felt that I was 25, when I was 16.

In spite of the efforts of my parents and teachers, I haven't grown up any more since I knew what a job was.

I'm a ten-year old with a bank account, pretty much.

Yeah. As a child, people a couple of years older than me seemed so much older than me. When I got to their age, I was still the same person I'd always been, and I didn't feel that much older at all.
I'm still the same person that I was at age 6, I've just learned some bigger words, more academic concepts, a few social scripts, and the art of not bursting into tears in public.

When I was 16 I don’t think I ever thought of people physically looking older than me so much as knowing so much more than me. For many years I felt very young and inferior because no matter how old I became I could never achieve the confidence with the world around them that I saw other people have. It wasn’t until I was 32 years old that everything just clicked into place. I realized that people were confident with the world around them not because they knew more or were superior but just because they were just plain ignorant or stupid. Now I feel very confident because I know what I can or cannot do. As far as feeling my age I still feel like I’m in my twenties I guess because I’m very healthy thank God. However when confronted with my image in the mirror I feel baffled.

Yeah. It's weird.

Every year that feeling gets more. Or less, depending on how you look at it. For me, in general, anyone under 30 looks like a kid, and anyone over 70 looks old.

To illustrate further, the first time I saw "Star Wars" (in 1978 or whenever it came out), if you had asked which of the male human characters I find the most attractive, I would have said, "Luke". Now, if you ask me the same question, regarding the same movie, I'd say Obi Wan Kenobi.

What's really fun is when you are sitting in a restaurant and some old, fat, balding guy hobbles up to you and says, "Hey, it's me! Steve! Remember? We went to high school together! " And you think, "Huh? What's this guy on about? He's middle aged! .....Oh, right."

Everyone who was around 18 and older was like a real adult when I was like 16....

When I turned 18. it feels like i'm 16 still and people however mistaken my age alot of the times, at times I do find that annoying once and a while.

When I was 15 I knew someone who was 20, and he seemed a lot older than me.

20 still seems a lot older than me, but I'm almost 27.

The difference between a 5 and 10 year old?
Vast.

The difference between a 10 year old and a 15 year old?
Vast.

The difference between a 15 year old and a 20 year old?
Vast.

The difference between a 40 year old and a 45 year old?
Nothing.

Once you are "adult" age difference means less.

Before that it is very important.
