This is the Mandelbulb. I found the picture on skytopia. I was surprised to learn that most people seem to have quite strong reactions to it, they either love or hate it. I wonder which camp we Aspies fall into; does our bias for local processing have an influence? Note: I did not create it, you can give your honest opinion :-)

Can I please live in there?

And, what...is it, exactly?

I'm sorry, I have to say hideous. It's too chaotic and the whole sensory things...I don't like it.

I like it, but it would be better if it was less distorted.

That makes me feel fuzzy and tingly. I like it!

Google doesn't know what that is.... what is it exactly?

It is beautiful, but it's also hard to look at.

Someone left their ripple afghan in the drier too long! (joke)

I like it, it's sort of hypnotic, and has some of my favorite teals in it. Most of the fractal images I've seen are two-dimensional, but this comes to life. Makes me think of storm clouds forming and reforming ...

I think the "coming to life" part is what bothers me about it and feels overstimulating to my nervous system to the point that I can't look at it long. But that's just me. I can't take much when it comes to sensory issues.

That's a fractal. And it is creepy looking. It reminds me of some deep sea creature.

I was going to say I thought it looked kinda like a coral reef. But fractalier.

I think it's awesome. Maybe kinda creepy.. but pretty. Mysterious. Like some kind of unexplored reaches of the deep sea.

I like visual over-stimulation a lot, not when it comes to colors, but patterns and stuff similar. Bright and primary colors make me feel nauseous, but my apartment is full of dozens of patterns so this makes me really happy.

No. Has a repulsive aura about it.

Sorry, I had the name wrong; the thing is called Mandelbulb, not Mandelhab. It is a 3D version of what you might have heard of as Mandelbrot Set or fractal.

It has a sort of hypnotic beauty. And yet it doesn't seem beautiful to me.
But it does creep me out.
It seems a little malicious. It looks like a plant that traps and eats victims. It might be poisonous.

It kinda reminds me of a forest, albeit one that is from another dimension. Kinda like those japanese anime movies like Spirited Away. Its way cool! (Voted beautiful)
