I'm surprised he did not rage on her.

The woman should be charged with public mischeif. She wasted the time of the police when they could have been stopping a robbery or a murder. How hard is it for the mother to just take the game away or the console?

This looks like something my old best friend's parents would have done. They always had to call the cops on their kids because they didn't want to be the bad guys. Then the cops would come and talk to the kids.

Oh God, not another one of THOSE. I feel so sorry for the kids who get caught up in these things because their parents fail at their job so badly.

I feel the same way about this as I felt about that girl who got tasered for refusing to shower: arrest the mother for wasting police time.

In the UK, she would most likely have been arrested for wasting Police time. In fact, given that GTA has an 18 certificate and her son is 14, she should have been nicked for supplying adult video games to minors.

What a complete idiot she is. The game has a M rating for 18 and over. She should have done a better job knowing what the ESRB ratings are for. It's a good thing the 14 year old did not go on a rampage, the media would have blame the video game industry. Of course the media spins like this "It's never the parent's fault it's, the evil video game industry fault for making games so appealing to kids. "

its the parents job to parent their child

i agree what a tradagy if those police could have prevented a crime as they were dealing with her outsorsing of her parental duties

She should have been arrested

Most likely at the time the police was in low demand, they actual deal with situations regarding ungovernable children all the time.

I can understand simply taking the game away, but calling the Police was a bit drastic.
