Do most aspies tend to hold back information most of the time? I had to learn the hard way to do this as I have gotten in trouble a few times for being candid.

Common aspie trait?

I think that is a personal trait. Nothing to do with AS or NT or other conditions. My ex was this way, my husband is this way and he hates it when I talk about him but it's so hard not to. He jokes about me putting our personal lives on the internet.

I notice how I am open about myself and honest.

it ain't my business, so I don't ask.

I also learned some time ago that those folks who are nosy as hell to the people who are "open books" will claim that they too are the same...and lie thru their teeth.

Maybe I don't understand the question but I keep things to myself if I think disclosing information will require 'me' to listen to judgements about my behavior.

I am a very private person and tend to share only pertinent information.
