Would a world run by grandmas be allright with you?

How about a world run by grandfathers?

What the hell is this eagerness to be dictated to? I don't need a SOB to order me around.

I'm just saying...my grandmothers would be really good dictators. I'd trust a bunch of random grandmas.

We are social animals, remember Sand.

All my grandmothers and grandfathers are dead. So I'd say - all of them would be just perfect!

And we can make up our own rules and pass them off as theirs'.

EDIT: I'm just joking of course!

Personally I think that all living beings should be our dictator. That is, let the purposes of their happiness dictate our actions.

EDIT: It's tricky though. If a spider catches a fly, do you rescue the fly and let the spider die from hunger? Or do you let the spider kill the fly?

I have no idea just how social you are but I am not social enough to want to be told how to run my life. I don't need either grandparents or grandchildren to impose their values over mine. Take your dictatorships and shove them.

I can't be dictated to either, Sand. In fact if someone tries to tell me what to do then they're going to have to kick me out of the establishment or put me in prison. Because I am totally unable to abide by any rules unless I can see the reason for them. It's just not one of the skills I possess.

But they do it anyways. It comes along with living with other people.

Since I'm the grandfather and I live alone I neither impose nor accept values that conflict with mine or anybody else's

Hmm, is your entire argument based on anecdotal evidence?

If so, let it be known that my grandmother was a prison guard.

Most of the people in ( the higher positions of ) government at the moment ( talking globally here ) are grandfathers ( and the rest are mostly fathers ). It would be interesting to see what difference it made if it was the grandmothers, ( and mothers ) for a change! ;)
