wow! so much incest then! :P

Lol.

:x Stop with the incest!! Blue eyes are an adaption from thousands of years ago...due to lack of sunlight from living underground. Earth's surface was probably uninhabitable at the time.

I wonder where the adaption of green eyes would come from.

Too bad eyes don't come in other colors like purples, aquas and other hues.

Last I heard, we were all descended from some kind of algae-like stuff in a pond in what is now western Australia. But what do I know?

This blue eye thing is a good example of a genetic mutation that is harmless, and may be just slightly advantageous (blue eyed people are often considered more attractive?).

There's an unrealistic negative connotation with genetic mutations because the ones you hear about tend to be detrimental ones.

Most mutations go unnoticed because they do no harm, and no good, and probably don't affect your appearance in an obvious way. In fact, many do absolutely nothing - little bits of your DNA that inconsequentially didn't copy properly. Everyone has some mutations, mostly the inconsequential kind.

cool...my sister believes that all people with blue eyes are aliens...even though she has blue eyes too. Our whole family has blue eyes, but different shades, my brother and mother has saphire blue eyes, my sister has royal blue, I have navy blue eyes and my dad has greenish blue and my sis and bro's dad had light sky blue

How is it possible for you NOT to have common ancestry with a blood relative like your niece?
