I used to get really frustrated with tangled phone cords (what do I mean used to?), anyway what I do now is - if the cord isn't too knotted up - I hold the phone up and drop the receiver so it dangles just to the floor and it spins to unravel itself. I know this may seem like common sense, it was just one of those things that always bugged me and this helps.

In fact I did it ten seconds ago.

All our phones are cordless.

Aren't you concerned with the signal direction into your temple?

Tangled cords irritate me as well. I only come across them at work though, and I untangle them as soon as I can.

I also always untangle phone cords. It irritates me very much when they are twisted up.

Tangled phone cords irritate me. Well, tangled cords in general.

I thought I read somewhere that mathematicians have actually proved a knot theory version of Murphy's Law: if a string can tie itself in a knot, it will.

(I'm not making this up.)

Arghhh can't stand them (tangled phone cords). There is one at work that I often try to detangle but I think it is permanantly tangled now! I also can't stand coat hangers that always get tangled in my wardrobe! I just have to try and take something out and loads of hangers get all tangled up. 8O

That's true, they use it in trying to understand super string theory.
