I use visual studios (2010 beta, express) for programming in C#, it has some nice functions to help you

Hmmm... my first programming experience was Fortran, back in 1968.

Currently, I tinker with XQueries in the eXist sandbox, and use JEdit and eXist's WebDAV interface to maintain and deploy things.

I suppose I always think of Emacs as a parallel to Esperanto - I'm always astounded that it still exists.

On the other hand, the equivalent of vim is maybe Klingon?

I must admit that I use that at work, as part of the WinARM Suite.

However, I did not include it earlier, as it is not a true indication of what IDE I would use. Instead, it is merely an indication of what all the rest of the fellows use, and thus I use it for consistency.
