I would think most aspies could give less of a s**t what their parter votes for, they would just be grateful to have one!

I haven't met any right wing fundamentalist aspies, nor any who think sex is evil (gross yes, evil no)

Honestly I think a large number of women are uninterested in sex. Personally I agree with (?) someone previously here who said it: Sex is totally normal to discuss, Mr. Rath and I talked about all these things frankly and I think it's part of why I have such a great sex life with him - because neither of us feels embarrassed. Me, because I was raised in a really sex-positive environment without a lot of hooey about it, and him because he's AS so he just is straightforward.

Don't listen to the garbage about women not wanting to talk about it or thinking you're after "one thing". Email that s**t back to high school or junior high.

A well adjusted, open and warm female shouldn't have a problem talking to you about sex, and should have a problem HAVING sex and wanting sex. I recently read a horrifying story in MSNBC about something like 45% of women having no interest in sex - - it was awful. So, just choose carefully. Mr. Rath found himself in a relationship previously that was sexless, because he interpreted her as "demure" and "shy" and "avoidant of discussion of sex" and he didn't want to look as if he was only after sex. Guess what? That never improved over 8 years.

So - - if it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck, it's a duck. (there's a joke in here somewhere but I can't quite sort it out). You deserve a girl who is warm and wants to be with you physically - that's my 2c.

My advice here is to shut your pie hole (no offense) and compartmentalize those opinions aside. Fortunately 8 years of Bush cured Mr. Rath of a lot of this but he's still a strong libertarian and I'm an extreme leftist. However, he also wants to have sex and so do I so we don't sit and harangue that crap. And we find a lot of common ground in VALUES not POLITICS.

should define what you mean as hipster. I know for a fact though I am not a hippy, or a right winger at all. I dont fit on any scale really, or in any specific group for that matter. I can be a hippy because I enjoy chaos, and violence sometimes. I am definately not a right wing fundy. Im agnostic, and dont care about either the political right nor the political left.

A hipster is usually:

1. Politically left-wing/ultra-liberal
2. Vegan/vegetarian
3. Drinks European beers
4. Doesn't drive a car (because they are trying to make a statement about the environment)
5. Only buys clothes at thrift-stores
6. Likes many of the things I like (this is as far as the similarities go)
7. Usually atheist, agnostic, or practices some sort of pagan belief system
8. Refuses to associate with people outside their clique or who think differently from them

On the other hand, a right-wing fundamentalist:

1. Is Politically right-wing/ultra-conservative
2. Extremely prejudiced against LGBT people, and often racial and religious minorities
3. Do not watch any secular TV programs or listen to secular music
4. Believe that people should wait until marriage for sex, and that it should only be for procreation
5. Will often tell people that they will burn in hell if they even discuss anything that contradicts right-wing fundamentalist views.

I'm just a plain old, geriatric punk, (rational) libertarian, deist...

Actually, there were two that were the type I am looking for.

One of them wanted a guy who lived in the same town and never needs emotional support. She expected no burdens or inconveniences in a relationship, expected to never have to give anyone emotional support, thought asking for advice is a sign of weakness and an inability to communicate, and leaves a guy when things aren't going 100% her way. She ran off with another guy and refuses to even be my friend anymore. Incidentally, sex was never discussed.

The other one was more laid-back, but she had a drinking problem and went back to her drug-addicted ex-boyfriend who was disrespectful to her because she was so desperate for any sort of attention that she would take anyone she could get.

I came to the conclusion about hippies/hipsters because I did a poll on here that asked if they would consider dating outside their clique, and about 70% said they would not date a Christian who votes Republican.

There once were as many as 30 female Aspies on WP alone (I am on a few other AS forums in addition to WP), but nearly all of them either found someone else or left the forums.

The only reason I got an explanation from that first girl I mentioned was because I had a friend e-mail her on my behalf, and she was angry that I did it. I just wanted to know why she went back on her promise to "never disappear without a reason" (she cut contact for no reason), but she acted as if I were some sort of crazy psycho stalker who was out to get her.

I am about ready to just go out with the first person who shows me any sort of attention, because that's the best I can do.

Not only is there nobody I am compatible with sexually, but I have nobody to talk to about my political beliefs, religious beliefs, and special interests.

none of this matters to me
