One of the choice is missing.

But for me it is only when it interest me, for interest is about only thing that actually can keep my attention for long period of time. Catch my my full interest and I can go on for two day, without eating, some water and little sleep. But never happened from a work through be could be possible if I was working at a place that take full advantage of my field of interest and that let me work any time I want.

If it's something I'm passionate about, I can do 12 hour days no problem (as long as my mental health is good). But if it doesn't interest me, forget it

No and I hate going over time. I don't think I can handle over time all the time. But I can work full time. But I hate my short attention span but then I get back on task.

Both of my daughters are in university, so for the last couple of years I have been working anywhere from 2-10 hours of overtime a day. We had some money saved for their post secondary education but it was far from enough. I have reason to do it (to stay out of debt)- but if they weren't in school I probably wouldn't work as much, maybe a little to get extra things etc.

Sometimes I can get really into a piece of work and go at it for days on end. Other times I just can't be bothered.

In a way.

I'm extremely enthusiastic about business and becoming rich. I spend massive amounts of time either working on something related to my business or day-dreaming about what I'll do when I'm rich. At the moment I use most of my free time (time I'm not forced to waste in school) to learn how to program.

I haven't been doing what I really want to do for a good number of years, so that passion has gotten rusty and gathered dust...on the other hand I have been gradually getting back into what I really like: computers and finance (I have an obsession with numbers).

Only if it really interests me. Otherwise, work is a four-letter word to me.

If it interests me, then sure, I suppose maybe I am a workaholic, or maybe it's just that I'm interested, and intensely focused for that short period of time. In any case, my father is a workaholic, and he is a lonely, bitter, angry miserable old man. So being a workaholic does not interest me.

I can totally see where add and autism overlap here, I am that way about interests. The think with work is, if it's manual, I can go and go. If it's a desk job, I go nuts. If it's working with the public, I am soon suicidal and quit. I need jobs where I am for the most part silent and working with my hands. My favorites have been vets/kennels, restaurant kitchens, and probably the best was in a factory warehouse where I supplied lines and loaded trucks all day. I worked through my breaks and worked over on that job, and loved it.

No, I'm a money-holic. I want to be paid $100 an hour just for sitting on my ass and blasting my stereo. But no, instead, I'm stuck bagging groceries for a paltry $9.50/hour and stuck with listening to people hound me about being more optimistic.
