how well do you deal with changes in your environment? do you like to make changes or keep them the same?

my parents want me to move back east to find a job as soon as possible, but at the moment, i'm content where i am... i want to get a job back east and figure i'll move when i get a real job out there....

I can handle change, but, I have to work myself up for it and am always glad when it's over and done with.

Peace

I can handle change, but I don't often seek it out.

I have to be thoroughly convinced that NEW is better.
It certainly isn't better simply because it's new.
Main exception to that, new books. Although I do re-read favourites, I always have room for new books.

if things are bad, change is good
if things are good, change is bad

Agree. "Devil is in the details"-but the brief axiom above is accurate.
Of course, it's all in how each individual perceives definition of those concepts (good & bad) in a given situation. Also how one measures/experiences change, whether it's initiated by internal or external conditions (voluntary, or responsive to outside motivators). How much forethought is required for one to take action. And so on...
To answer the original question-I generally resist change.
As above quote stated, one hopes good stuff stays the same, wishes bad stuff were different (about self or life or world).

I have to change the direction im sleeping in every couple of weeks for some reason. I have to change up my meal at this resturant every time i go(it sounds complicated, but it is really a very small difference) I get chicken breast dinner, with green beans, no potato. Soup if i am thirsty. Salad with ranch dressing on it. Or i get barbeque chicken breast dinner, with corn, no potato, soup if i am thirsty, and salad with ranch dressing on it.
Maybe a milkshake if i am thirsty. Water with no ice in it.

And my other food eating patterns are kind of like.... randomly cyclical. For a couple of days I only eat steak, for a couple of days I only eat chicken, for a couple of days I only eat salami, folded and dipped in mayo and mustard. For a couple of days I only eat soup, for a couple of days I only eat ramen, for a couple of days I only eat poppy seed bagels I buy at dunkin donuts. Then i go back to something else. And when im bored for a couple of days but i have no strong desires for any of those foods, i fast for a couple of days.
