(I was 13 in 1963 and a passionate, thrilled and estatic Beatlemania, then I fell in love with the music of the Stones, but the Kinks had their own beat altogether!)

I've thought about this before and I've always decided on ancient Rome.
No other reason than I just think it was cool back then and I love studying about it.
Barring that, maybe I'd go to some place and time way before history was written down to see what it was like.

A friend of mine who's in his very late teens feels the same way - his love of Victoriana extends to all matters (he is apparently looking to write a book about a steampunk Victorian society, from what he tells me).
