I've trained myself not to.

I always tend to eat and leave the table quickly at family dinners. I just find the close proximity and socialization stressful and feel like I need to get away, at least to a comfortable distance. I may still talk with the people at the table, just from a ways away. If I'm eating by myself, I may take my time.

OMG! oh oh oh oh oh oh oh!! ! I DO THIS!! !! ! Sadly family has said if you're going to eat that fast go eat in your room etc. So it got to the point where I just eat in my room. IMO I kind of don't want to change that behavior and IMO I feel it's a behavior you should respect not something to be put down and reprimanded it's IMO part of who I am. :-)

Well, you CAN'T really eat to fast. Sometimes you can drink, but generally not eat. Then again, some just don't eat certain items. I couldn't resist.

Yeah, I eat pretty fast, and sometimes DO get hiccups!

I eat like I'm in a pie-eating contest. I always hiccup at least once.
