I had posted this same exact message in the Social Skills & Making Friends forum, but I wanted to mention this here too because i am 23 years old, and I feel like I'm a young adult. For about a year now I've been taking a part in a social support group with teens and young adults who have Asperger's. The support group meets every 2nd Monday of the month at Lutheran Hospital on West Jefferson downstairs (near the cafeteria) in Special Function Room 4. We meet at 6:00 p.m. and the group is run by Kara Skaggs. You can just walk in without a former invitation. If you would like her email, please PM me and I'll be welcome to hand it out. There is also a session from 7-9:00 p.m. for your parents to discuss issues which you are also welcome to stay for.

Fort Wayne is northeast of Indianapolis and near Ohio.

There is also a parents' support group that meets a week earlier in Goshen, northwest of Fort Wayne.
