Computer science is applied computation theory. The emphasis is on algorithms and data structures. Computer technology is more about communications and computer hardware.

Obviously the two aspects are very much related, but they are not the same.

Computer science is the study of computers from a scientific viewpoint, such as analyzing programming language syntax, designing, algorithms, etc. Computer technology is a redundant phrase that I've never heard used before. I don't really know what you mean by it.

computer technology is what is.
Computer science is what could be...

I was originally in a CS major. I liked how it involved lots of theory, but it was alot of work. I am now info tech, working towards computer forensics. IT seems to be simpler, more immediate use uf computers.

Lord of the Monkeys was closest.

Computer science is about programming and related theories.
Computer technology is about designing computers and what they are made out of.

Another way of putting that is: Computer science deals with the conceptual aspects of computers and their uses, while computer technology deals with the physical or hardware aspects. The two areas obviously relate to each other, but are in their presentation and expression quite distinct.

the difference (as i see it) is that computer science is the development of coding structures related to modeling real world systems, and computer technology is the development of hardware (more through engineering) that can make possible the execution of that code in a feasible time.

i am not sure of my comprehension on this topic
