I'm on Paxil and Risperidone for Depression. My AS has nothing to do with the medications that I'm on. They work for my Depression.

Concerta (for ADHD) and Cymbalta (for depression).

I'm completely bloody useless without them. With them, I'm still an aspie, but I'm a smart aspie who takes better care of himself and pulls his own weight well enough that people are more apt to meet me halfway on the AS stuff.

Uhm...well I'm on medication for depression (Fluoxetine 40mg - this was increased from 20mg whilst in Psychiatric ward) and I have trouble sleeping so I'm also on Risperidone 2mg and Melatonin 6mg. They all have helped and I am really happy I saw I doctor about everything.

Though this is more for my mental illness than the AS but I can't sleep partly because of the AS and apparently the AS could have contributed to the depression so by proxy it is to do with AS.

The Risperidone is great for stopping me from getting angry but it also makes me feel very tired and drowsy - so I went off it at day time and only have it at night now.

needing to take Clonazepam, it fights anxiety I might feel due to a slightly unfamilair situation.

I'm taking Fluoxetine and Sodium Valproate for depression and mood swings, it has nothing to do with AS. It has taken some of the intensity out of the depression (no longer suicidal, no more big euphoric moods before my depressions etc) but I am still unhappy. It has also helped me go to sleep a lot faster. It used to take me more than an hour and sometimes up to 3 hours, now it's usually no longer than 20 minutes. It has helped with anxiety about trying new things. It didn't make me talk more but I am less likely to spend all day in my bedroom now.

Paroxetine / Paxil has helped me a LOT with depression and anxiety. It hasn't gotten rid of my main AS traits, but it's helped with dealing with things. I used to have a lot of social anxiety, but these days i'm mostly fine with being around people. I still don't have good social skills of course, but that doesn't cause me to get as anxious now.. So i'm actually fine with being around people these days. I simply don't care as much whether i'm doing everything "right" or not. With less anxiety, i've also been much less likely to need little routines with things. I'm also on Methylphenidate, and that seems to help with giving me focus to get things done. Its effects are kind of uneven, though... I can feel the effects go up and then down. i think something that's controlled-release would be better.

I took a basic anti-depressant called Aropax that helped with anxiety and even stopped meltdowns.
