There's an old Sci-fi book called 'Martians Go Home' (Frederick Brown...I think...;) Much, much better than the movie (which was MST3000-league bad...;)

Well,, his first name was spelled "Frederic", but other than that, yes, that was a brilliant novel - hilarious! Imagine being the only person who can see the prank-playing little green men - and then, when you're "cured" and don't see them any more, suddenly they decide to become visible, so now you're the only person who doesn't see them!

Given your name, pakled, you might also be interested in knowing (if you didn't already) that Brown wrote the short story on which the original Star Trek episode "The Arena" was based. In his original version, the two opponents were injured; they had crashed on a previously-unexplored world, and found themselves on opposite sides of some sort of pressure curtain that kept each on his own side. They found that only living things were stopped by this, and began improvising ranged weapons to continue their fight...

I would much rather land on the world with Shawna of the Silver Bikini!! ! ;) :) A deadly fight, but I think I could rise to the occasion.

<ahem> 2,000 Quatloos on the newcomer!

well, that's what happens when you do things from memory...;)

Actually, Angelique Pettyjohn wound up in porn films; back in the day, I saw a lot more of her than on Star Trek...;)
