how long did it take for the medication to fully get in your body system where you feel it 24/7 All Day assuming that you take it everyday?

A week or two. I just know it was quicker than what the doctor said it would be.
I'm off it now though.

^^ I'm taking Fluoxetine as well (along with Sodium valproate). I've been taking it since October last year if I remember correctly and I'm still depressed. At first, within 2-3 weeks, it helped a little bit but I think it's wearing off. I'm going to change to something different next time I see my doctor.

I've never felt any beneficial effects from anti-depressants. I'm on a large dose of two different medications and I'm still depressed as hell.

I've been on all anxiety meds, none worked very well, but they will kick in within max. 4 hours or so. I'm currently taking Xanax XR (1 mg). I'm also on Effexor ret*d (AD) for 8 weeks or so but it doesn't seem to get me out of my head much. Since a few days I'm getting a little, little bit out of my head by walking a lot and I actually have dreams from time to time again (that has been a long time ago for me). I also take Seroquel XR (50 mg) for sleeping but doesn't do much. I think the best for someone with AS is to have a excellent day schedule, because of this you will feel more safe (less fear so less anxious).

I've taken Fluoxetine since April 2008 and it took about three days to start to kick in (before, I could barely handle going to school- three days on the tablets and I was able to brave a train ride up to York) It helped me more with my depression and anxiety. It does nothing about the meltdowns :(

SSRI:

With the right dose, within a few days. Mainly cuts down on the panic attacks

Valium:

Half an hour, and then till it wears off. Best for overall and long lasting anxiety relief, in addition to sensory problems

Seroquel (mood stabiliser/antipsychotic):

Half an hour or so, and then till it wears off. Helps with sleep and the racing mind

...hello more distinctly orange (red-orange) yet similarly square tablets.

i am still waiting for something, anything.

included here is an account of my recent experiences with medication.

I tried about 6-7 AD's, none worked for me, not to discourage anyone because they work with some and with others they don't.

All I know is it only took two days on Zoloft for me to try to kill myself. Psychiatrist suggested upping my dose. My diagnosis at the time was OCD, not depression. Got new psychiatrist. Eventually refused meds, then the problems went away.
