I already live in a hick town - I don't want to visit anymore. :P

I like my tiny town on an island.

I have had fun traveling and visiting small towns with funny names.

Boring, MD
Drain, OR
Intercourse, PA
Truth or Consequences, NM
Middlesex, MA

are the few that come to mind atm.

Oh, and I also always enjoyed the fact that Comfort, TX is right next to Welfare, TX.

I'll post more as I remember them.

And there is a town in Austria called F***ing. Seriously.

And there is also Dildo, Newfoundland, Canada (birthplace of Shannon Tweed), and Swastika, Ontario, Canada.

Key West is NOT a hick town. Marathon, though is, or at least used to be.

I'd also like to visit small towns with weird, ironic, hilarious, or downright stupid names.
Some were already mentioned on this thread.

How about Boring, Oregon? I'm serious.

The town of Lipscomb, Texas is the county seat of Lipscomb County.

For about ten years until a couple of years ago they had an outdoors dance on a dance platform on the fourth Saturday of June, July, August, and September. Some people drove in from far out of state just for the event.

The population of Lipscomb is listed as 44 from the 2010 census. Their Lipscomb Dance Platform nights drew in crowds of more of (I think) as many as 600 to 700 people.

What I liked about the town of Moran, Texas was when you approached the town from the North, there was a sign that said "Moran - next six exits" or something like that (I don't remember the precise number of exits on the sign). Of course, the "exits" were the streets of the town that met the highway.
