Does anyone hear/feel almost a buzzing sound when you are over stimulated - like when you don't get a chance to have quiet alone time? Also, I can barely take light sometimes - natural light's ok, but florescents especially are so brutal. I guess I'm just interested in what you all experience when you're over stimulated...it doesn't have to just be sound.

I have noticed a periodic buzzing sound in my ears; I'm not sure if that's why it happens. I'll definitely have to pay more attention to what's going on when it happens. Thanks for bringing this up!

In my case it sounds like a side effect of caffeine,
or carbonated drinks,
especially "diet" carbonated stuff with aspartane in it,
which is an excitotoxin.

Another person on the spectrum told me that she experiences this. I do, too, sometimes, but not all the time. As with fluorescents, being in a place that is entirely illuminated by fluorescents (eg. the subway) makes my eyes hurt. A lot.
