I'm watching DVRed episodes of the Office, and am trying to find it entertaining enough to watch it week after week. It just seems so bizarre to call it a sitcom, while with sitcoms like Will &Grace I would laugh, the best some of these office episodes can get from me are a few smirks. Is it an aspie thing to not find that much value in the show?

Liking The Office has less to do with autism and more to do with whether or not you find dry humor amusing.

That being said, I'm a diagnosed aspie and I think it's hilarious.

The British original and the American takeoff are very different. I found the American really hard to take before I saw the British one, and the American remnains problematic for me.

But in any case, neither is for everyone. A lot grimmer than Dilbert.

Yes, I enjoyed Dilbert. But the sitcoms I watch now are Scrubs, How I Met Your Mother, and Big Bang Theory.

The British version is so much better (Might be my biased opinion because I am indeed British :P)!

Unfortunately it's no longer in production :(

I think The Office shows what it would look like if aspies ran a company. Michael and Dwight seem to show some traits.

I think it's the least funny "comedy" I've ever seen. The British one, that is. It's difficult to see how the American version could be any worse. :?

I saw the British version once or twice but not enough to pass any judgement. of British comedies, I've also seen Are You Being Served, Mr. Bean, and have really enjoyed the original version of Coupling.
